*DUE TO COVID-19, LEGO ROBOTICS IS SUSPENDED FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR*
Although physical education is a vital part of our daily curriculum, our small class sizes make after-school sports impractical at this time. Many of our students are involved in sports activities through their local school districts, the YMCA, or through private organizations.
Toledo Junior Academy is pleased to promote Campanas Cristalis Handbell Choir which meets every Monday and Thursday from 5:00-7:30pm in the attached Toledo First SDA Church. Contact Bill or Janelle Ashley for more information.
We are pleased to be a part of the Adventist LEGO Robotics League. The LEGO robotics club challenges TJA students to code, create, and collaborate with one another while designing an action project and working to solve complex tasks with LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robots. Core values of teamwork and inclusion go hand in hand with highly engaging STEM projects. The year culminates with a state-wide competition each spring where students go head to head with LEGO club members from other schools. Students ages 10+ are encouraged to join the club! The LEGO club meets directly after school on Wednesdays from 3:15-5:15pm.
